Hookers kept VW’s production rolling
THE architect of Germany’s radical labour reforms confessed yesterday to cheating Volkswagen, the biggest European car-maker, by using a slush fund to pay for prostitutes and luxury holidays for top trade unionists. Peter Hartz, who was the company’s personnel director, is accused of paying E400,000 ($658,000) to the Brazilian mistress of the former works council chief of VW. Unauthorised bonuses were paid to union leaders’ nightclub visits and escort girls became part of the business culture to ensure that worker representatives who were given boardroom directorships played along with unpopular management decisions.

2 cleared in hot-tub case sue neighbors
A Cook County sheriff’s lieutenant and her boyfriend filed a defamation lawsuit Friday against sheriff’s officials and neighbors who accused them of having sex in a back-yard hot tub in 2005.Lt. Kelly Mrozek of Lockport and her boyfriend, Mark Sumner of Orland Park, were found not guilty of public indecency in September.
In the lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, Mrozek and Sumner accused their neighbors of defamation and invasion of privacy. They alleged that the defendants joined in a “scheme to maliciously harass Lt. Mrozek” and agreed to “do anything possible, including contacting the news media, to bring about criminal charges.”

Reward Offered in Sodomy of Puppy in Newark
Police are looking for suspects in the apparent sexual assault of a pit bull puppy in Newark. The Associated Humane Societies of Newark was notified at 7 a.m. Tuesday by the Newark Police Department that a pit bull puppy had been sodomized by a local resident. An ambulance was dispatched to 321 Seth Boyden Terrace in Newark to rescue the injured animal.

Couple arrested for sex on hotel balcony:
A middle-aged couple from Asheville, N.C., was arrested Saturday for indecent exposure after having sex on the balcony of a Myrtle Beach hotel, according to a police incident report. People around the pool at the Breakers Resort at 2006 N. Ocean Blvd. saw the naked couple on the hotel’s third floor balcony around 11 a.m. At first, the couple used a bed sheet over the railing to conceal themselves, but about an hour later the bedsheet had fallen down and the people around the pool and on the beach could see them having sex, the report said.

Man given 100 lashes for sex videos
AN Iranian convicted of making videos showing his sexual relations with married women has been given 100 lashes in public. The man was arrested after several complaints about “his illegitimate relations with married women and filming the scene”, were made to police in the northern town of Behshahr, the Etemad-Melli newspaper said today.

Herpes Might Cause Alzheimer’s:
New research supports growing concerns that herpes plays a role in the development of Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form of dementia. The latest work, announced today, shows a link between a gene and herpes simplex 1, or HSV. The form of the ApoE gene called ApoE-4 is the leading known risk factor for Alzheimer’s. And HSV is the form of herpes that causes cold sores around the mouth. More than 80 percent of Americans are infected with HSV.

Police arrest woman for selling sex on Craigslist
Police have arrested a 21-year-old Mesa woman who was selling sex on craigslist.org and has admitted to taking in $1,400 for sex acts during the last two weeks, according to court records.
Renee Marie Kachinski was arrested late Tuesday night after authorities received a tip from a manager at Homestead Studio Suites Hotel, 1920 W. Isabella Ave. Police had been conducting surveillance for several days at the location.
